Ok, now for the off resort photo trip photos :)

Tuesday night at the resort I went around asking all the workers (locals) about waterfalls in the area. The first 5-8 people I talked to all mentioned Y.S. Falls which was a tourism trap full of people and not what I was looking for :(

Then I came across a 21 year old man named Roberto.
Roberto told me he could take me to his hometown in the countryside about an hour away which were he knew of a private waterfall that is large in size but dosent even have a name! He told me "You will not see a single person at my waterfall"
I got excited and took up Roberto's offer and arranged to meet him in front of the resort the following morning.

The next morning I met up with Roberto and his cousin who would be the driver. We drove about an hour far into Jamaicas countryside until we got to the mountains and his hometown of Blairs Hill. We pulled over to a spot that we would start hiking throught a small farm then into the jungle to get to the waterfall. As soon as I got out of the car I spotted this tree on top of the hillside. Roberto told me it was a Mango Tree and that we would be walking by it on the way to the waterfall :)

So I grabbed my gear and headed up hill to take my first shot of the day..........

After taking some shot of the mango tree we continued on our way to the waterfall. We walked through a farmers field wich we had to cross slippery bamboo shoots over water then into the jungle which by then I could hear the amazing sound of a waterfall singing in my ears. We had to climb down an extremly slick trail that lead to the waterfall. Roberto and his cousin helped me carry my camera gear so I wouldnt slip and break everything. We arrived to the waterfall and I was just amazed at the size and beauty. Everything was untouched, it was a jewel hidden in the middle of the mountains in Jamaica.

We stood there about 20 minutes and talked about the waterfall. Roberto said it was very unknowned and the waterfall and river didnt even had a name. But the local village people called it "The Damn"

I was amazed that I was so fortunate to see such a stunning place and also have a chance to photograph something that never has been photographed. Roberto tells me that this is a very private waterfall and only few people have ever seen it, I just kept thanking him for taking me there :)

As for this photo, its only a very small section of the waterfall that I decided to concentrate on. I loved the postioning of the waterfall next to the Jamaican vegetation.

I will be submitting more photos of this wonderfull waterfall so I can show the real size and beauty of it :)

To be continued.......
