I think this is one of the most surreal landscapes I have ever walked through, it was last Saturday after a large ice/snow storm hit Missouri. I went to this area at night with a full moon overhead with clear skies. Everything was covered with fresh snow. Every little branch and detail of the forest was covered so delicately with snow that it looked like it took someone a 100 years to paint each and every little detail. With the full moon overhead and the reflection of the bright snow it seemed almost as if it was daytime on some far out alien planet.
Details:
- Canon 5D
- 124 second exposure at f5.6
- I used a Canon 24mm TS-E shift lense and had the lense tilted a couple of degrees to blur out the top of the trees to give a 3D look/feel
